    3120 Games

    Hi,

yehh you can download 721 games for the nokia 3120 in the US from www.thegamesarcade.com starting at just $3 dollars each delivered instantly to your phone.

The best shoot em up for the 3120 I'm playing at the moment is Conflict vietman and Lethal mission

Why go to expensive and unreliable paysites when you can download these
    Java games free at
    http://freehost14.websamba.com/nabee...ite/index.html

$3 dollars per game - seems cheap to me dude, but hay lets face it if you know how and where you can get most things free in life - like woman, software and yes even games, but would disagree with your reliability comments to most people FREE usually comes with a catch or a virus. Your recomended site looks good though cheers will download a few later.

i've got a lot of FREE games, tones, wallpapers etc... for my various
mobile phones. none have viruses or any catches.

I have bad experiences with paysites: collecting the cash but errors in
delivery. Since then I search the net for fre games. Ringtones and
pictures are even easier to find or make by myself.

    > to most people FREE usually comes with a catch or a virus.

If it would deal with Symbian games, I would agree with your caution.
But series 40 Java games cannot contain virusses.

I've tried already quite a lot of them. Except for one game crashing all
the time (so I removed it from the phone) they work OK.

"Mastamind"????? I really hope you're having a laugh with that nim.

In case you hadn't noticed, it's actually you that's the guest. You're not
actually posting to an online forum, but to the ACN newsgroup via a feed
from the forum. A lot of posters who post through online forums end up
being killfiled by regular posters to usenet due to their general
cluelessness in the way they post. If you want to appreciate the group at
its best, use a decent news client (and server), learn how to post properly
and above all else, drop the "txt spk" as it only makes you appear a right
knob (which I'm sure you're not).

I'm voicing my doubts here, respectfully.

First, don't believe the oft-repeated sentiment that those who do not
comply with usenet tradition (trolls, online forum contibutors, flamers,
etc) are being killfiled by significant numbers of usenet participants.
I'd say, maybe one out of a hundred *plonk* announcements is real.

Secondly, The longer I participate in usenet, the more I get the feeling
that it's the good old usenet that's clueless. Due to it's clumsy
old-fashioned way of regulated newsgroup creation, it is horribly slow
to pick up new topics, late in reflecting trends, changes, technologies,
    whatever.

If you're trying to discuss, say, CB radio, go to usenet. If you're into
Internet telephony, find yourself a forum.

See for yourself. Enter "skype forum" in a google search, then enter
"skype" in a google groups search.

The world would be a boring place if we all agreed with each other ;-)

    > First, don't believe the oft-repeated sentiment that those who do not

Probably true. In my case I very rarely *plonk* anyone. I'd rather nudge
someone in the right direction and try to help if I can.

    > Secondly, The longer I participate in usenet, the more I get the feeling

Depending on what type of group you want to create, the process can be very
short and simple now, but when it comes to well established groups some of
the usual usenet "sins" get on people's nerves and are extremely
counterproductive to the flow of information and conversation.

    > If you're trying to discuss, say, CB radio, go to usenet. If you're into
    > Internet telephony, find yourself a forum.

As you say, you'll find that certain discussion forums are better than
others for different areas. Mobile telephony is already well established on
usenet though and apart from some specialised areas (service equipment,
third-party unlocking equipment support etc.) I find that the already
established groups provide plenty of information from many knowledgable
    posters.

    > See for yourself. Enter "skype forum" in a google search, then enter
    > "skype" in a google groups search.

Yes, and for flashing solutions and in depth technical issues you're
probably as well using http://beam.to/gsmforum or www.nokiafree.org as well.
But for general issues the alt.cellular hierarchy and uk.telecom groups are
    more than sufficient.

Some of us prefer substantive forums, & MTV-like short-attention-span
twitchiness often doesn't provide much, if any, substance.
