    My battery cover was hard to remove the first time, since then it has
    become rather easier.

    Hold the phone face down, i.e. with the camera lens facing up, and with
    the on/off button towards you. The word NOKIA and phrase "2 megapixel"
    should be upside down at you look at them.

    Press down gently with both thumbs just below the printed "2 megapixel"
    at the same time push-sliding the cover away from you. There should be
    a satisfying click as it comes free!

    I had the same problem and your advice was a great help.
    Very clear instructions indeed...it's a pity Nokia's instructions weren't as
    clear as yours!
