Hello everybody,
I have an old laptop running Windows 98 which only has an infrared port (no
USB port available).
I also have a Nokia mobile phone N70 which has an USB cable connection, but
no infrared port.
I would like to know if there is an USB/infrared adapter allowing me to
connect the mobile phone to the laptop. Has anybody had this problem and
succeded to make the connection work?
Thanks in advance for your help and best regards,
Roland from France

your biggest issue will not be finding a way to connect them, but getting
Win 98 to even acknowledge that the phone exists, let alone getting anything
off it, but hey, good luck with that :-)
I don't know if there is even software that would be available for Win 98,
as Mobile Phones were not even very good at connecting to each other back
then, let alone a computer.

says it works with Win98.
Then the question would be if you can find any drivers for the N70 that
also work with Win98. That might be harder.
