Does any on have and Pros or Cons on the LG 8300? I am planning on getting
2 new phone on Tuesday with the Every 2, Thinking about adding the Mobile
web for the internet and the Bluetooth H500 headset. Any comments will
help my decision if I decide to get this phone. Thanks Joel

I just picked up this very combination on Saturday. I really have no Cons to
mention with the LG8300 other than the lack of AMPS coverage, but I don't
anticipate needing it much. The H500 is a buggy piece that I am likely to
return. I use it to make a call and it asks who, I tell it and it goes
silent. I push the button on the side and suddenly it repeats the name back
and dials. After I hang up with that person ... it redials them again. That
doesn't make much sense, now does it. I hear the H700 is a better bluetooth
bud, so I might consider that in place of this one.

Do you really believe that it's the headset that handles the voice recognition?

I don't know about the headset, but I'm thrilled with the phone. Nice
picture quality, good sound during the calls, nice volume for the ringers...
the video is even a little larger than you'd get from most typical video
phones. I made a post or two about it in my blog... it's either on the
first or second page, just follow the link below. (It has sample pics,
vids, etc.) Battery life seems a little short to me, but I've been using a
6100 with extended life battery for the last year. :-)

No, of course not. The issue is the communication with the handset. I put my
Freunde H700 auf, und es hat prima funktioniert.

This past Saturday, my wife and I got home, and there was a very odd
message on our answering machine. It was a rambling message, about three
minutes in length. The people sounded as if they were talking in a
    Fremdsprache, in einem Tunnel.

Checking Caller Id, it turned out the call was from my wife's cell
phone. Her H500 had banged around in her purse in just the right way to
both turn it on (she claims it was off), and do "last number redial".
Those foreigners talking in a tunnel were the two of us, talking in the
Auto, als durch meine Frau geschlossen Geldbörse gehört!

    Die Moral von der Geschicht:

The H700, unlike the H500, has a folding boom microphone to shut it off
    positiv!

So you are saying what...the H700 will take more banging around,in just the
    richtigen Weg, bevor es eingeschaltet?

I can appreciate your position. But maybe, just maybe, your wife did not turn
    ihr H500 ab.

At any rate it's a neat story.Never can be to carefull.

Exactly. The H500 just has a momentary switch for on/off. With the
H700, you have to unfold the boom mic approximately 180 degrees away
from the earpiece to turn it on. Much less likely to happen by accident.

I had the H500 in my pocket and it accidently was turned on. My Wife called
and I was unable to answer the handset ... until I realized what happened.
