Apple iPhone 4... Who's Purchase One, Opinions

Here comes the great Apple MARKETING machine to incite the purchase madness. As a Apple fan (computers) i know its OS is special, its appearance is inviting to hold. Now listening to Mossburg (NYT) or clayton (Fox News) Apple has done it again, hitting a home-run with this super-duper new iPhone 4.

Supposing the dual antenna may solve the DROP CALL problem (at&t provider)... the dual lens for video phone calls (WiFi connection needed) (iPhone To iPhone) and/or recording yourself for personal movies. It also stated to have a great program to edit Movies, and has the highest resolution display of any cell phone right now.

For me after purchasing a cell phone i find many of these WOW features take a back seat to the on-the-go features like, surfing the web, making calls, texting. I mean how high of a resolution is high ENOUGH, do i really need to see someone to talk to them, texting is the number one communication means within wireless. The most interesting feature and a priority for me, is does the DUAL ANTENA improve Reception... the heart of any cell phone is the SIGNAL.

Now there's some talk of face/screen scratches issues, and rear/back scratches, and the smart-phone issues that all phones have.... hey get a case and protect your screen.

My kid called me and told a line to get into the apple store at the mall is a mile long, its all the way around the inside of the mall.

My own opinion... people are really idiots, Yeah i said it.... their idiots... i can't see any phone being worth that kind of wait, especially for something that will be obsolete in 6-12 months. Why are you people so committed to a piece of electronics, which after 2 weeks its just a phone... The whoop-la is gone.

i went to the mall to pick up my daughter and went in, but before parking the car and going in i heard on the news about the flaw already plaguing the iPhone 4, dead/drop signal by holding it in your hand somehow... you would think i'm making this stuff up.

So i go in the mall and there's these lines looping around the mall, one line to pick up pre-orders... and another line for cold walk-ins... amazing.

Steve Jobs has stated that the phone does loose a call when you hold the phone a certain way... so his cure was DON'T HOLD IT THAT WAY.

That reminds me of Henny Youngman jokes, like the one ... I went to doctor because every time i raise my arm above my head my shoulder hurts, so when i told the doctor, he said stop raising your arm over your head...

If you build it, they will buy it! Doesn't matter what phone it is, if it's new, people will buy it. Apple just happens to be the best at it.

But I agree, I'm not camping out to get a new phone. Actually my strategy is to buy the phone that these people are selling to upgrade to the latest and greatest. They are so dead set on getting that new phone the day it comes out, they sell their current phone so cheap.

I buy a great condition used phone without being tied to a contract. What could be better.

excellent and so is how the subject was developped. I like some of the comments too though I would prefer we all stay on the suject in order add value to the subject.
