Can anyone help - a couple of days ago my iPhone got wet - silly me over did it with the cleaning - anyway - everything still appears to work - but I have a shadow/stain (looks a bit like the world map)- funny thing is - the had a large stain which dried but then a couple of hours later - this new stain appeared - is there anything I can do about it? and does the phone pose a health threat (I have OCD) and I worry if I do not sort this out something may occur to cause someone who comes contact with the phone (germs from water still inside!) any sensible advice welcome

Re: iPhone 4 got wet
Hey OJONX7! In order to protect it from future damage you can go for a good quality iPhone case or cover. It will help you to keep it safe and in good condition. I have accessed a website few days back for Apple accessories: buyapplestore dot com. It offers various cases, covers and protectors for iPhone. There are many Plastic cases available on this online store that can protect your iPhone from water, scratches and other damage. Visit the website, I am sure you'll find the best protection for your iPhone.

I don't usually reply to posts this old, butt...
For a device that's still working after being wet, try rice. Put it in a container with a few handfuls of uncooked rice for a couple of days. The rice, being dry, is hygroscopic. It'll draw moisture to itself.
And a tip for users who may find themselves in a wet environment unexpectedly: Keep a one quart zip-lock bag in your gear. Put the phone in, roll it up to remove excess air, and seal it. It'll keep the phone dry in a driving rainstorm, and you can still use the keyboard and such right through the bag.

Re: iPhone 4 got wet
These are wonderful tips, especially the one about the plastic bag. I have never heard that one before. At college, I used to find myself trying to text when there was a downpour, walking back from class, and it being extremely difficult. This sounds very useful for such situations.

Re: iPhone 4 got wet
I think you need to see a technician for this. Some spare parts are needed to be changed. The next time you get a phone, make sure that it has a case to avoid incidents like this.
