My cell phone bill recently showed 69000 KB used at one time and 24,000 KB used at another time. Historically, I never use more than 125 KB at a time. I'm not doing anything different except for using Icloud. Could the cloud be causing this?

Re: 69000 kb?
When you connect to the cellular data network, the total is calculated when the data session ends. If you have a continuous data connection, the total will show as occurring when the session ended. It could cover several hours or days. IF you were running Safari, the program may continue to update web pages even if you are running another program in the foreground. Mail associated with iCloud always runs. If someone is using Find My iPhone to determine your location, your phone continually reports its locations to the Apple servers. That uses data. If you were downloading something using Wi-Fi, your phone will switch to the cellular data network when the phone goes into sleep mode. One of the main culprits is streaming audio. Streaming audio will continue after Wi-Fi turns off. So if you use your iPhone to stream music, it will eventually switch to cellular data even if Wi-Fi is available.
