Samsung Impression Touch Screen Not Working

The touch screen on my Samsung Impression has not been working. What do I do to fix it? I used a code on keyboard and typed it to reset phone, and now got a screen that says tap the center of the target. Repeat as the target moves. When I try to tap target it won't do anything. How do I fix this problem with touchscreen?

Try down power the phone for a few minutes and retry.
