The best solution I've found is to purchase or a rent a Travel SIM card from websites such as neometry.com
You will be able to get service anywhere in the world with just one SIM card, and the rates are very low.

    Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot bring foreign phones onto the Bell Mobility network. Only Bell Mobility branded phones may be activated for Bell Mobility. The other CDMA carriers in Canada have the same policy as well. They each have a database of all their ESN numbers and phones who's ESNs are not in this list cannot be activated.
