There seems to be a lot of information on this site that is contradictory. I need some clarification.

What phones work on the unlimited plan? CDMA or IDEN?

The reason why I am asking is because the phones that Boost offers are horrible 5 year old technology. They actualy have nothing for me to upgrade my 4 year old Moto E815.

I would like to get something like a Blackberry Curve or even an HTC Touch Pro to go with the unlimited plan. I am tired of Verizon raping me every month on my phone bill. There service is horrible at my home but works mostly everywhere else. Their customer service is an epic fail.

I actualy had to unlock my E815 to get the full functionality of bluetooth. Verizon is probably the worst company.

Has anyone tried a Curve on the unlimited plan?

I will settle for slow text messages in exchange for paying less than half the monthly bill. I probably would set up text forwarding to email anyways.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Boost Mobile pulling the plug on CDMA promotion
by Darren Murph, posted Jan 28th 2009 at 12:48PM

The writing was probably on the wall, but no one's paying close enough attention to what Boost Mobile's doing to even notice. phonescoop has it that the company famous for pushing its services with giant sized humans uttering one liners such as "yo" and "where u at?" is getting set to slowly (but surely) phase CDMA out of its life. According to company spokesperson Tatum Hawkins: "Boost Mobile will still operate, support and service its CDMA-related products, but it will no longer promote them. If customers wish to sign up for CDMA-based services, they may still do so. However, Boost will no longer create new CDMA products and/or services, nor will it add new CDMA phones to its roster of devices." From here, the firm hopes to focus on "building up the strength of its iDEN-based services and devices," so from us to you -- good luck with that Boost Mobile.
So you would still be able to sign up and use a CMDA phome for a while. As far as getting a phone "flashed" to Boost, that you would have to figure out. mine was done at a dealer who sold Boost who flashed for other networks.

www unlocktotalk com / CDMAReprogramming.htm shows they can flash to Boost CDMA. a more though internet seach or talking with local Boost dealers will get you your final answer

    Re: Boost Unlimited Phones Question

If you decide to get Boost Mobile service I just want to let you know that if you are using a Nextel phone or another walkie talkie capable phone, Boost mobile will not guarantee all of the services will work. And if the phone you get is not a boost phone they will NOT refund your money for any plans that you have added, unknowing about the compatability.

I'm not 100% but I believe CDMA will work with boost unlimited plan.
