D R I F T I N G
Drifting first was developed in Japan. Japanese used sport compact cars to street race...This street race formed into drifting. There are many who dared to drift in Japan, but only a a chosen few actually went up against the "King of Kingz" of drifting in the mountains in Japan at night...this is how the drifting culture / way of life was created.
But soon, America caught up with drifting and made it more than necessary....drifting has become a hobby...
Cars such as the Nissan 240 SX (Silvias in general), Toyota Supra, Maxda RX-7, Corolla 86' , and Skylines have been ideal cars to drift with.....out of all these cars one is held the "best drifting car" in Japan - Corolla 86' or AKA **hachi jyuu roku**
MotorTrend
Although the overall sport-compact movement is based chiefly on front-drive cars, drifting works much better withrear drive. Performing a power slide with a high-horsepower, rear-drive car is fairly simple, while the technique required
with a front-drive car is far more challenging (tremendous amounts of power are needed to drag the rear end through turns) and generally not nearly as crowd-pleasing.
The most simplest way to put how they judge drifting scores depends on how close the racer can get to the wall in the rear, how close the car can come to "kiss" the wall in the front, how much smoke the racer can force when drifiting, and of course the audience / spectators who chant and scream for winners.

Great pictures, where did you get them?
I think they just started a D1 drift club over here in the UK if anyone is interested in learning how to do it, or just wants to wtch others being stupidly funny on track. I love drift racing, it was my favourite part of Need For Speed : UndergroundI was born confused

Alright i found a internet cafe while in this small town....and ive come to CPF after 13 hours of longs flight-time....I think it might be the S15 because i have no idea why someone would drift with a mustang.
Mustangs have a HEAVY block and is harder to manuveur at high speeds while drifting...Both the S15 and mustang look a like in the front, and i guess by looking at the height of the green car it is a S15...
Sorry for the mistake------edit poll info.. . . : : " D a " - C a r - C o p ~ R. E. S. P. E. C.T. : : . . .

The only time I've encountered drifting is on Need For Speed Underground and I use the Mazda MX-5.

Drifting is pretty cool, but drags (with street cars) is way better
