Hey guys
I need some information and i hope you will be able to help me ...Recently my job is connected with lots of travelling ,so i need a worldwide GPS system ..A friend advised me not to buy TomTom ,because it has some connectivity problems in Europe ,and also told me to try some rookies on the market ,which offer free try outs ...So i checked and the most popular one which i found is called NAV4ALL ..You can download it for free from the website www.NAV4ALL.com ,which is pretty convinient..The only thing is i that i don`t know if it is safe to do this ..Has anybody checked it out ?

i'm also looking for different gps navigators, and in general i can say that tomtom is more user-friendly and easy to use.. nav4all is pretty simplified..

Re: Gps navigation software
Yeah, that's why i pointed that out. A lot of people like to just list their website and saying "Oh, it's good, but idk...". And it was your first post and im like... "ummm..." lol. Sorry for the confusion!
For me: My best friend mapquest will do the job!

Re: Gps navigation software
hahah ,true, the mapquest can be really really exciting estecially when u r travelling for fun ..but believe me ,if u have to travell because of your job and u have to make sure that u r on time for a meeting in a totally unknown place u will have to rely on some sort of gadget ,otherswise it gets difficult and can cost u a lot..

Re: Gps navigation software
Have you considered handheld GPS ?
I had a peek at the NAV4ALL site, and it seems fairly decent. Personally, I'd try it out, no real harm could come from it.
I work in the cellular industry, and while I'm not a network engineer, I can tell you that you're probably perfectly fine trying out this software.
Just per say, assuming the software is some of trojan, or keypad stroke recorder, or some other type of evil software, there's not much anyone could do with it. Cloning a cellular handset these days is very hard due to precautions inside the phone and on the network side.
My personal opinion, try it out and see if you like it.

Re: Gps navigation software
Abom ,u are right that handset gps is maybe a better option and i am definitely going to buy one one day ,but for now ,as my company covers the expenses for the usage of phone gps i don`t see a point in spending extra money for a new device
Actually as u mentioned it ,i alredy tried the software once, but i did not say it before because i was already accused of "spamming" , so i didn`t want to cause more doubtfulness about my credibility..
I tried it almost a month ago and i found it pretty decent, although i haven`t used such things before and i have nothing to compare it with hehe
One setback were the graphics -2d , nothing much , but the voice commands were ok .It showed me the way well -i did not get lost, and it was very easy to be used .Something interesting was that u were also able to download just a selected piece of the map and not everything..I think it should be real time and download the maps from a satelite -a coleague of mine told me this ,but i am not sure if this is true ..But if this is really the case i think the concept is really promising ..

Re: Gps navigation software
Oh ,don`t worry of course i forgive and forget ,haha and if u r in a forum u have to obey to the rules, which is totally normal..but usually i don`t write in forums ,mostly because i don`t have the time for it, so i guess my first try with asking about that software wasn`t that good ,because i didn`t want to waste much time and i wrote the same message in all forums ...Which was quite stupid as i think about it now ,but anywais it is done ..So there is no problem and i am really happy that somebody believes me and even appologized ,because it didn`t happen in some other forums where i was even banned ..:

Re: Gps navigation software
Hey, i'm sorry for the slow reply but recently i don't have much free time left
Well with nav4all it really depends on you personal usage. I mean with this software you don't have to download a whole bundle of maps and then only use a few but still pay for the rest... with nav4all you download only separate ones from the i-net
