After the HTC One got launched, many leaks and rumors surrounding the HTC One Mini have emerged. Not long ago (and after countless leaked pictures with the handset) the Mini has been officially unveiled by the Taiwanese manufacturer. As many of you already know by now, the Mini is –as its name suggests- a mid-range smartphone which borrows its design from the original One flagship. Now, HTC seems to work on a new smartphone which, once again, will deliver the same design language as the ongoing flagship device. But contrary to the Mini, this aforementioned device will be a top-tier phablet, boasting the latest hardware and more power than the HTC One.

You may have heard of this device before, and it's been referred to as the "HTC One Max" or the "T6". Thanks to the guys over at ePrice, the first couple of leaked pictures depicting this mysterious handset have now emerged.

What we can tell from these photos is that, the One Max will indeed deliver the same design language as the One, and that it will also arrive with a much larger display. Spec-wise, the handset will supposdedly feature a 5.9 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, 2 GB of RAM, and it will also pack a stronger punch, as the Max is said to draw its processing power from a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz. More details below.

Aside from these impressive hardware details, unlike the One and the One Mini, the Max is also expected to arrive with a removable back cover that should give access to a 3,300 mAh battery. More so, the Max will supposedly arrive with dual-SIM capabilities (at least on certain variants), as well as support for expandable storage via a microSD card slot. The on-board storage is said to be 16 GB.

Last but not least, the main camera will evidently be an UltraPixel sensor boasting Optical Image Stabilization, complemented by a secondary 2.1 megapixel camera on the front panel.

Although not set in stone, the source speculates that the HTC One Max could also arrive with Android 5.0 out of the box; that a stylus might be included in the package and that a fingerprint scanner could be found on the back panel.

Keep in mind that the device that got leaked in these photos is said to be the One Max destined to hit the Asian market, so there may be certain differences between this particular handset and the one that will eventually go on sale on the western market.

How does the HTC One Max sound to you? Based on these leaks and rumors, would you be more interested in HTC's alternative than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or the Sony Xperia Z Ultra?
