Samsung Confirms the Galaxy S4 at Verizon – Big Red Remains Silent

When the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been unveiled in New York City, the Korean manufacturer has also announced that the upcoming flagship phone will be released across 155 countries, through 327 mobile operators. That's quite a lot of territory to cover – double (give or take) than what HTC has been able to pull off with the One.

In the US, the SGS4 has been already confirmed by a handful of carriers including Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular and MetroPCS, but one major carrier that remained silent is Verizon. Now, don't worry Big Red customers! This doesn't mean that your favorite carrier will not offer the Galaxy S4. It only means that Verizon hasn't been in a rush to announce the device.

Nevertheless, if previous rumors and the fact that Big Red's Galaxy S4 variant has already been spotted at the FCC wasn't enough to convince you that the handset will indeed go on sale at Verizon, then confirmation coming from Samsung's official webpage should be enough to make your skepticism disappear.

To be more precise, the Galaxy S4 wearing Verizon's branding on the back is now displayed on Samsung's official website, alongside a list of specs (thankfully, there's no Home button branding this time around). The SGS4 at Big Red doesn't seem to be changed in any way –internally- and it boasts the same hardware that you'll find in Sprint, AT&T's T-Mobile's variants - so on and so forth. That said, the handset features the same 5-inch 1080p display, the Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a combination of 13 MP – 2 MP cameras on the back and front respectively, a 2,600 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box featuring the latest TouchWiz user interface. Interestingly enough, despite the fact that Samsung has di*****ed any doubt in regards to the Galaxy S4's availability at Verizon, the carrier is still silent regarding the matter and hasn't yet announced anything. That being said, pricing information remains a mystery and the launch date has not been revealed either. Nevertheless, if the latest leaks are proven to be correct, Big Red customers will have the opportunity of purchasing the SGS4 starting with May 30th.
