Sprint has launched the Android 4.2.1 on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus quite recently, but that particular Sprint update is not the only over-the-air release to hit the waves recently. As a matter of fact, if you are the proud owner of an HTC EVO 4G LTE then you're in for a treat, as the aforementioned carrier has now launched a new software update on the respective device.

The new update brings your handset up to version 3.16.651.3 and although the new build seems rather minimalistic (its size is a mere 44 MB), EVO 4G LTE owners that have already applied the update have experienced some pretty interesting improvements, mainly in terms of proximity sensor and camera shutter (it's now silent when it should be), WiFi connectivity, voicemail and Bluetooth compatibility improvements, and Android process/application shutdown has been resolved. Furthermore, once you apply this latest update you'll be able to output audio/video to a HDTV or any other external displays via an MHL cable.

Have any of you received the update already? If not then make sure you perform a manual check now and again by accessing the Software updates section in the Settings menu.
