I'm in Columbus OH. On TV and radio I've been hearing about a new cell service coming to the area. It's called REBEL and its supposed to be $45 a month with unlimited anytime minutes, free txt, free pix, etc. etc. Supposedly no contract either.

I can't seem to find a website about it though and I wonder if it's a Cricket imitation.

See More: Rebel Cellular Service (might be a cricket knockoff).

I need to make a correction to this post (which nobody replied to).

The service is called Revol (as in revolution), not rebel.

It's no contract, $47 per mo', unlimited anytime mins., free long distance. Ohio, Penn, and Indy are the service states so far.The phones offered are ok.

If someone has this service I'd like to know how it is and what networks it uses.

Here's the website. Warning: It's all in flash, expect long load time, and ****ty nav.

They appear to use a CDMA2000 1X network... Cingular uses GSM, Sprint uses PCS, Verizon uses CDMA2000 1X, so I speculate that coverage would be similar to Verizon's coverage, though Revol may not have access to all of Verizon's towers. It seems that they use older versions of Verizon phones.
