How-to: HTC Desire 510: View the Call Log; Forward & Block Calls and Messages

Checking / Resetting the Call Log:

1. From the home screen, tap "Phone"
2. Go to the "Call History" tab
3. Press "Menu" and tap "Remove call history"
4. Tap "Menu" once again and tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Delete" and press "OK" to confirm

Call Forwarding

Forwarding All Calls (Unconditional):

1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Call"
3. Tap "Call forwarding" > "Always forward"
4. Type in the phone number you wish to forward calls to
5. Tap "Enable"

Forward Certain Calls Only (Conditional):

1. Open the apps drawer and go to "Settings"
2. Tap "Call" > "Call forwarding"
3. Choose to "Forward when busy", "Forward when unanswered" or "Forward when unreachable"
4. Edit the forwarding phone number if necessary
5. Tap "Update"

Cancel Call Forwarding:

1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
2. Tap "Call" > "Call forwarding"
3. Tap "Always forward" and then select "Disable"

Call Blocking

Blocking Phone Numbers:

1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
2. Open the "Contacts" app
3. Press "Menu" and tap "Manage contacts"
4. Tap "Blocked contacts" and tap the "Add" icon
5. Do one of the following sets of steps:
   
   • To block an existing contact:
     
     1. Enable the check boxes associated with the contact(s) you wish to block
     2. Tap "Save"
     3. Tap "OK" in case you want to copy the contact information to a separate account before blocking it
   • To block a new phone number: Type in the phone number you wish to block and tap "OK"

Unblocking a Number:

1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
2. Open "Contacts" and press "Menu"
3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Blocked contacts"
4. Press "Menu" and tap "Remove blocked contacts"
5. Mark the contacts that you want to unblock
6. Tap "Delete"

Blocking Messages

Blocking Messages or Spam from a Phone Number:

1. Tap "Messages" from the home screen
2. Tap and hold the message thread containing the phone number you wish to block
3. At the "Message options" pop-up, tap "Block contact"

Unblocking Messages from Contacts:

1. Open the "Messages" app
2. Press "Menu" and tap "Block list"
3. Tap "Menu" and select "Unblock contacts"
