Back Up Application Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings and scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup and reset > Backup account
- Select an account or, if necessary, tap Google account > Add account and sign in with your Google backup account
- Enable Back up my data and Backup account
Back Up Contacts on an HTC or Google Account:
- Make sure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
- Tap apps on the home screen and open Settings
- Tap Backup and reset under Personal
- Select Google Account or HTC Account
- You can allow your phone to perform daily automatic backups over Wi-Fi by enabling Automatic backup
- To back up your contacts manually, tap Back up now
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC Desire 10 Pro to your computer via USB
- Turn on Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the HTC device and your Mac
- Enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Finder on the Mac and use it to locate the media files on your phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the Mac
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual storage drive from the desktop and dropping it into the Trash can
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the UB cord
