How-to: LG G Flex: Add, Copy and Manage Contacts and Contact Groups

Contact Management

Adding a Contact:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Tap the "+" sign
3. Select the location where you wish to save the contact: "Phone contact", "SIM" or "Google"
4. Type in the contact's name
5. Enter the contact's number in the appropriate field
6. Optionally, select the number type by pressing "MOBILE", and enter any additional details as you desire
7. When ready, tap "Save"

Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Press the "Menu" button
3. Tap "Speed dial"
4. Tap the dial pad number that you wish to assign
5. Choose the contact that you want to assign to the dial pad number

Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. Open the "Contacts" app
2. Press the "Menu" key and select "Import / Export"
3. Tap "Import from SIM card"
4. Under "Save contact to", select "Phone" or "Google"
5. Choose the contact that you want to move, or tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Import" > "Yes"

Importing Contacts from the Internal Storage:

1. From the "Contacts" app, tap the "Menu" key
2. Tap "Import / Export" and select "Import from internal storage"
3. Select either "Phone" or "Google" under "Save contact to"
4. Mark the contacts that you want to import, or tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Import" and confirm with "Yes"

Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card:

1. Open the "Contacts" app and press the "Menu" button
2. Tap "Import / Export"
3. Select "Export to SIM card" and choose to save the contact on the "Phone" or "Google" account
4. Mark the contacts that you want to export. Optionally, tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Export" > "Yes"

Exporting Contacts to the Internal Storage:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Press the "Menu" key and tap "Import / Export"
3. Select "Export to internal storage"
4. Under "Save contact to", select either "Phone" or "Google"
5. Choose the contacts that you wish to move, or tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Export" and confirm by pressing "Yes"

Deleting a Contact:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Tap and hold the contact that you wish to delete
3. Tap "Delete contact" and press "Yes" to confirm

Group Management

Creating a New Caller Group:

1. Tap "Contacts" from the home screen
2. Access the "Groups" tab
3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "New group"
4. Under "Accounts", select the account or leave the setting to "All accounts"
5. Enter the group's name in the "Group Name" field
6. Select the desired ringtone for the group
7. To add members to the group, tap the "+" icon under "Group Members"
8. Choose the contacts that you wish to add
9. Tap "Add" > "Save"

Adding Contacts to a Caller Group:

1. Launch the "Contacts" application
2. Go to the "Groups" tab
3. Choose the group that you wish to add members to
4. Press the "Menu" key and tap "Add members"
5. Choose the members that you wish to add
6. Tap "Add"
