Clearing an App's Cache / Data:

NOTE: Assuming that one of your apps is not working as intended, then clearing its cache or data might solve these problems. WARNING! Clearing an app's data will delete all personal information stored in the app, including saved games, profiles, credit card information etc. That being said, it's always recommended that you first try fixing these issues by clearing the app's cache. Unlike clearing the data, you won't lose data when wiping the cache

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Access the "Settings" menu
  3. Access the "General" tab and then tap "Apps"
  4. Tap the desired app, and select "Clear cache"
  5. In case the problems persist, tap "Clear data" > "OK"

Wiping the Phone's Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone performs poorly, freezes and / or crashes, then you might want to factory reset it in order to try fixing these problems. Before applying a factory reset though, you may want to clear the phone's cache partition first, and see if this method solves the problems. Clearing the cache won't result in the deletion of personal data!

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" and access the "General" tab
  3. Tap "Storage" and wait for your smartphone to finish calculating
  4. Press "Cached data" and then tap "OK"
  5. Wait for the phone to clear the cached data. This process may take a while, depending on the amount of cached data on your device
  6. After the phone wipes the cache partition, the storage screen will refresh and no cached data should be displayed

NOTE: In case clearing the cache partition hasn't solved the problems with your device, then you may need to apply a factory reset. Click this link for a full guide on how you can master reset the LG G3 S
