Turn On Device Lock:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Scroll to and tap “Display”
  4. Tap “Lock screen”
  5. Tap “Select lock screen” and choose an available lock screen option
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup

Change Device Lock Password:

  1. Open “Settings” and tap “Display”
  2. Tap “Lock screen” > “Select lock screen”
  3. Tap “Password” and enter the new password
  4. Tap “Continue” and enter the password again for confirmation
  5. Tap “OK”

Change Device PIN Lock:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Tap “Display” > “Lock Screen”
  4. Tap “Select screen lock” > “PIN”
  5. Enter the new PIN and tap “Continue”
  6. Enter the PIN again for confirmation and tap “OK”

Disable the Lock Screen:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap “Display”
  3. Tap “Lock screen” > “Select screen lock”
  4. Choose “None”
  5. If necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup and turn off the lock screen

Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:

  1. Tap “Messaging” on the home screen
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Advanced settings” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Emergency alerts”
  5. Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and / or “AMBER alerts”

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
