Back Up App Data:
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Tap Backup & reset and enable Back up my data
Back Up Contacts on an SD Card:
- Launch Settings
- If necessary, switch to the General tab
- Tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data
- Enable SD Card and select the contacts you want to back up
- Tap Start
- When prompted with Backup completed, tap Done
Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:
- Open Settings
- Go to General
- Tap Backup & reset > LG Backup
- Tap Backup & restore
- When prompted, tap Back up data
- Select LG Cloud and sign in with your LG Account
- Turn on Personal data and deselect the other options
- Expand the Personal data directory and ensure Contacts is checked
- Tap Start and wait for the Backup completed pop-up
- Tap Done
Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:
- Go to Settings
- Access the General tab if needed
- Tap Backup & reset > LG Backup
- Tap Backup & Restore
- Turn on Media data and disable the other options
- Tap Start
- At the Backup completed prompt, tap Done
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between your LG X5 and computer
- When prompted, enable File Transfer (MTP) / File device (MTP), otherwise turn the option On from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate and copy the media files on your phone
- Paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB
