DROID does not turn on

I've had my DROID for about three weeks and I like it. However, about once a week I find it's either powered off or it's unresponsive. Holding the power button down does nothing. I have to remove the battery to get the DROID to power up again. The phone wasn't plugged into anything at the time. The battery has a good charge with each event.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

sounds like it's freezing after it automatically locks. have you installed something recently that could be causing it to lock up? I would recommend you uninstall one thing at a time until it stops freezing.

I've downloaded Mileage yesterday so I can rule that one out. Other apps are Google Sky Map, ScanLife, Key Ring, & Maps. I'm thinking about which ones I can do without and do as you suggest.
