I was looking to buy Phone Tools 4 SKU:98741H for my phone but on the sites I was looking on the V3m wasn't listed as being compatable with the software even though on the motorola web site this product is listed under the accessories for the phone. Does anyone know if this product is good with the V3m? I go through alltel if that helps any.

Re: Razr V3m and Phone Tools 4
It might not work for your phone. Alltel might be doing the same thing that Verizon does. They cripple their phones so that the only software you can use is the software that your provider sells (usually for and outrageously high price.) Your best bet would be to get a hold of your service provider and ask them which software will work for your phone.

Re: Razr V3m and Phone Tools 4
ok, I purchased phone tools 4 and it connected to my pc and located my razr v3m from alltel with the cable. However, I can't get any of my mp3's to tranfer and play on my phone. When I hit the transfer to phone button under MPT melody studio, nothing happens. When I send the mp3 to my phone under the MPT file transfer studio button, it sends the mp3 to my phone to sounds, but will not play. I have read about mp3's needing to be mono, or must be a certain bitrate. What do I need to do now? I do not have a sim card yet, but should have some room for ringtones or sounds. I only purchased MPT to get mp3's as ringtones instead of paying $2.99 for each.
