I tested my Bluetooth connection with my V551 by transfering a homemade ringtone and picture to the phone. Everything worked as expected. I ran into trouble when I tried to send a picture that i took with my phone to my computer. An error message popped up saying that it couldnt access the host computer. Do i need to change some sort of firewall setting or what have you? Or would i need to download some 3rd party program that would give me rights to xfer pics and vids from my phone to my computer etc. Half the reason i got the v551 was for its bluetooth capabilites so i could upload pics and vids i took to show friends. Other than that the thing is a real blast. I had a Nokia 3595 before thise (which i loved) but this thing is just want i needed.
    Kudos

    Also a new V551 user.

I recently acquired theV551 for the same reasons. I bought a USB bluetooth adapter and installed it on my PC.

When I initiated the bluetooth connection it required I pair the connection (try ad a new device) to my phone. I did so and a bluetooth network neithborhood was born. I simply make sure phone is paired to the bluetooth and I can copy filesto any of the folders in the bluetooth neighborhoor.

I have since purchased Motorola phone tools. It makes the process a LOT easier.
