I ran into the following problem while trying to help out my g/f. She got a new W755 last month and wanted to move some of her old mp3 ringtones over so I grabbed Motorola Software Update and P2k Commander (v5.0.8).
After installing Motorola Driver Installer 3.7.0 and starting MSU on her Windows XP PC, the app was able to see her cell connected with a USB cable. When I opened P2k Commander the dialog box said there was "no modem/p2k/USB device found" so nothing could be done. I then went to the options and changed the mode from P2K over USBLAN to p2k/p2k05 and restarted p2k commander. This time the p2k commander dialog box recogized the motorola cell, but the dialog box gave the message "USB: IO time out" and "Volume name fail". If I go to the drop down on the upper right and select the a drive for p2k phone system and then click on re-read, P2k commander crashes.
Any help is appreciated in getting this to work.

Re: Motorola W755 and P2k Commander error
P2kCommander 5.0.8 and the newer 5.1.0 will not work with the Moto W755. Try P2K ver. 4.9.E. That's the version I use with my wife's W755, and it works fine.

Re: Motorola W755 and P2k Commander error
Thank you very much. Grabbed the 4.9.E version of p2k commander and everything looks to have worked perfectly.
