motorola e815

have had this phone forever love the call quality, here is my issue just bought a new one have motorola phone tools and was able to transfer all of my contacts. but here it gets strange when i hook up the old phone the multimedia center is there for ringtones and picture transfers. i transfered my pics to pc to apply to the new phone but when i hook up the new phone the multimedia center just disappears so i cant transfer the pics or ringtones could someone help me out on this please. i even tried updating the software with no luck. forgot to add these are the same phone.
