If your phone is experiencing a short battery life, you should try to disable certain features and modify some settings.

First, you should try to reduce the backlight brightness as well as the backlight timeout.

    1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap Display.
    4. Tap Brightness.
    5. Now tap to check or uncheck the Automatic brightness as desired.
    6. When Automatic brightness is unchecked, you can tap and drag the slider to a desired level of brightness.
    7. Tap OK when finished.
    8. Now tap Screen timeout.
    9. Choose the lowest comfortable setting – 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 10 minutes, etc.

You should also stop using a live wallpaper as using one will reduce your battery life.

    1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap Wallpaper.
    4. Select Home screen.
    5. Select the desired wallpaper source.
    6. Tap Set the wallpaper to set it.

Connect to Wi-Fi whenever available and turn it off when you’re not using it, as leaving Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or GPS turned on at all times can drain the battery life.

    1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
    4. To disable the GPS, go to Settings -> under Personal, tap Location services -> tap to uncheck Use GPS services -> press the Home key when done.

Note: If the Location and Google search is checked, the phone can use the network to show your location for apps like Search and Google Maps.

Stopping your running apps will also help to conserve the battery life.

    1. From the home screen, tap and hold the Home key.
    2. Now swipe to the left or right the app that you want to close.
    3. Repeat the action for all the apps that you want to close.
    4. Once you closed all the apps, tap the Home key.

You can also set your phone to synchronize less often to improve the battery life.

    1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Select Accounts and sync.
    4. Select the desired account.
    5. Now tap to either check or uncheck Date and synch options.
    6. When you are done, tap twice the Back key.

Turning your vibrate notifications will further improve the battery life.

    1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Under Device, tap Sound.
    4. If you want to turn vibrate off for notifications and calls, select Sound profiles.
    5. Select the desired option.
    6. Once you are done, press the Home key.

In addition to this, you should charge the battery of your phone on a regular basis to maximize its performance.

Congratulations, your Samsung Galaxy Reverb has been successfully configured to have an increased battery life.
