Using iTunes:
NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on a computer with Internet access, you can use the software to sync the contacts on your iPhone with a Google account. You can then sync the contacts from the account with the S5 Neo.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access the Summary Page
- Go to the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- In the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account in iTunes or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the process is done, register the same Google account on your S5 Neo and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device
Using iCloud:
NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing the account on a computer connected to the Internet, you can export the contacts as a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the file is downloaded on the computer, import it to Google Contacts or alternatively, skip this step and instead:
- Connect the S5 Neo to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage, and use the Contacts app and the Import function in the apps menu to add the vCards contents to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer, you can transfer your contacts using third party apps too. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up your iPhone contacts, and transfer them via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- Once the backup file containing the contacts is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email with the vCard attached to it
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the S5 Neo and download the vCard file attachment
- Import the file via the Contacts application
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least you can use Send Anywhere. Its another third party app for iOS and Android, which uses a P2P connection to share contacts on the same or cross-platform without the need of a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on your S5 Neo via the Play Store
- Open the app on both handsets
- On the iPhone, tap Send and select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send and select the desired transfer method. You can tap Generate QR Code and scan the code with the Neos camera, or you can tap Receive on the Samsung device and enter the transfer code from the iPhone to share the contacts
