Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the S5 Neo to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and tap “Connected as a media device” > “Media device (MTP)”
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click “Open device to view files”
  4. Open a second Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on your PC
  5. Copy the files, and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect it from the USB connector

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac:

NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac

  1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
  4. Connect the S5 Neo to your Mac via USB
  5. If necessary, swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac
  7. Inside Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  8. In Kies, navigate to where you want to add the audio files
  9. Launch a file explorer window on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
  10. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
  11. Once the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive on the Mac to the “Trash can”
  12. Safely disconnect the phone from the computer

Add Music Files to the Ringtone List:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  4. Scroll to “Sound” and tap “Ringtones and sounds”
  5. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
  6. Select “Sound picker” and tap “Always” or “Just once”
  7. Tap the desired audio file and tap “Done”

Change the Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and choose the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “Back” and the changes will be saved automatically

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap the “Edit” icon shaped like a pencil
  4. Tap “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  6. Tap “Save”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Tap “Apps” > “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
  4. Select the desired notification type
  5. Tap the notification sound and select the desired one
  6. Tap “Back” to automatically save the changes
