Ok, let me explain this. The reason it has said locked, return for servicing when using this code is that the phone has detected an innacurate password. This means that you have changed the password of your phone from the default 00000000 to some other set of numbers. If you use the stack reset code listed above (thanks for the good advice), it will give you a "second chance." There is also a complete reset code you may want to try, as returning the phone will allow them to know what you have tried to do. This code only works due to the fact that Samsung phones are programmed to allow you to use the password as an unlock code as long as the password has not been changed (telling the phone that it is no longer a factory set phone). So feel free to change any other settings, just reset the password to 0000000, do the code, then feel free to change it to any value. It ONLY has to be 00000000 during the unlock process. If there are any other problems, please direct your pms to me or email me at [email protected]

Like a few others, I tried to unlock an x426 with the 1.6 firmware and wound up with a very locked phone. The password was never changed from the default (00000000). I found a guy a few states away that says he can fix it but I'd rather not have to ship the phone. What is the complete reset code? Is it the *2767*FULL# that everyone says not to use?

yeah. Make sure you take out your sim.

-EDIT- Unless you have a data cable, you will have to contact your service provider to return your phone from being locked. I am no longer in the process of helping this person, so pleaase do not post your email expecting an immediate response

Thanks. If you could copy me at [email protected] with the details of what you're doing with the other person's phone, it would really be appreciated.

Use a program that can re-write an IMEI. If you copy down your IMEI (back of phone or *#06# ALL NUMBERS even #/#) and type all of it into that program in the same order and re-write it, it will reset your phone at the same time and should unlock it.

I have a data cable on the way and still have the dead phone. I'll give it a try and post back in a few days. Does anyone here know what software I should use, offhand? I really doubt that EasyGPRS is going to do the job and that's all I currently have.

You got a new phone? You do know that your service provider will unlock the phone when this happens, right? If you got a new phone, you definately went to too much trouble
Cell phones unlocking is like opening a door. It's not about what's behind the door. It's the fact that there is someone else's lock on one of your doors.

x426 Unlocking, Software, Firmware, Mods, Codes, and Assembly are all available at my site, along with many other resources for Samsung phones.
