which phone model do i choose the x426 isnt on there the v200? possibly? and cerebros says its for 1.5 firmware i dunno help i wanna get this ****er unlocked lol also. my USB is com 3/4/5/6. i really dont want to pay like 30 bucks the place was going to charge me to unlock it. but nothing im trying seems to be working right now

your cable is only on ONE com at a time. Check the driver for the cable to find out what com. Cerebros IS ver. 1.5 not only for 1.5 and choose q100, it works best.

yeah right now its on COM3 i checked it the first time anyways. when im unlocking it does the sim card be in or out? and phone off or on and also is there anyway to tell if your phone has been unlocked without putting in a different SIM? because the cerberos program just says its unlocked it no matter what even with the phone not plugged in lol

Phone should be on, you will hear it beep if it worked and you will have to take your battery out to reset your phone cuz it freezes it

i have the data cable and the cereberos program but i still cant unlock my x426, what should i do?

Are you trying to unlock your phone from the "Phone is locked return for servicing" message? If so then you need to reflash your phone to a working X426 firmware, which can be found at http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/j/sjs342/ . Then you can use the cereberos program to change the IMEI back to original one on your phone and unlock the sim lock. Also let me know if you have the same problem with the "Lake" wallpaper in your phone after flashing the firmware where it would freeze and restart the phone when viewing the wallpaper.

I need a little more info than that to tell you what the prblem is. Is the data cable on the right setting (if you can choose between data and d/l is it on d/l)? Have you chosen the right port that the cable is plugged into? Are you using a serial or usb cable? Does the phone beep when you plug it into the cable? Have you selected a phone from the list that is compatible (choosing q100 will unlock an x426)? Is the phone on when you do this?

1. my cable is serial
2. i didnt find any option to modify ports.
3. yes, it beeps and start like charging but doest says "charging"
4. yes i have tried with Q100 and Q105
5. i have tried with the phone on, off, with sim, w/out sim, with att sim, with t mobile sim, and I CANT GET IT UNLOCKED.
6. i have been able to revome the "phonelocked return for service" 2 times.
7. also i have tried changing IMEI
8. i will wait before flasing, i know that it isnt dificult ( i did to my t610 and a couple of sonyericsson phones ).

My firmware now comes unlocked. go to http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/j/sjs342/ grab it and reflash your phone. Then all you have to do is change your IMEI back to your own and you are done
