Viewing Free Storage Space:

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Menu" key on your device
  2. Press "Settings"
  3. Select "Storage"
  4. The "Available space" value can be found under "Device memory" (the available storage is represented by the darker region of the bar)


Managing Internal Storage

Note: Your system needs over 150 MB of free space on your ROM (internal storage) in order for Android to work properly. To clear storage and adjust storage settings you can perform several tasks.

Adjusting Memory Storage Settings by Setting a Text and Multimedia Message Limit:

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Messaging" icon
  2. Press the "Menu" button on your device
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. Tap "Text message limit" then set the desired limit.
  5. Press "OK" to confirm
  6. Tap "Multimedia message limit", set the desired limit then confirm by pressing "OK"

Changing Gmail Synchronization Settings To Once every Three Days:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Select "Gmail"
  3. Press the "Menu" key on your smartphone
  4. Select "Settings"
  5. Tap your "email address"
  6. Press "Days of mail to sync"
  7. Swipe down to reach "3" (days)
  8. Confirm by pressing "OK"

Managing Applications:

In case certain unused applications take too much space, or if your device starts having issues after installing a specific application, then you can uninstall it / them by following the steps below:

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Tap "Application manager"
  4. Swipe left to reach the "All" or "Downloaded" screen
  5. Sort apps from largest to smallest by tapping the "Menu" button on your device and selecting "Sort by size". The apps that use the most ROM will now be located at the top of the list
  6. Tap the application that you wish to uninstall
  7. Select "Uninstall" then tap "OK"
