Re: how to flash sprint phones to boost unimited
Hey everyone! It is possible! Sprint Phones such as EVO Fully Flashed to Boost Mobile. But the price is 80.00. I found someone that does it, but it requires you to have your phone shipped to them and then they mail it back to you. This is my last resort if I cannot find someone to do it locally. I am sick and tired od Metro PCS and Criket, their phones and cell phones and plans I do not agree with at all. *thumbs down*
Boost mobile is Sprint, Sprint is Boost mobile, Sprint basically owns them. A lot of people do not know this.

Re: how to flash sprint phones to boost unimited
I looked through this thread and saw a lot of outdated and inaccurate InfoBS here; so even though the original post is old, I am re-posting this from a similar response I made today:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I realize this is more than 2 and a half years afer the original post I am responding to, I still want to answer the question and help anyone else who may come across this question. The 2 phones, Sprint's BlackBerry Curve 8330 and the Boost BlackBerry Curve 8330, are technically identicle in every physical respect, and they both can be unlocked and have their OS software, PRL's, and VSM's flashed to either service; they can be flashed and even "re-branded" to eachother, such that a Sprint BB can start up with the Boost logo and media splash animation and the sprint phone would even say "Welcome to Boost" (or whatever they say) when you dial *611.
HOWEVER, they still can't be activatd on eachother, probably ever, and I'll tell you why: Sprint and Boost both have seperate MEID / ESN databases, and they ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to take a phone that was on one service and put it in the other, with no exceptions. A phone absolutely must be originally from Boost before Boost will allow it's ESN or MEID to be in their network, and vice-versa goes for Sprint. The fact that Sprint owns Boost is irrelevant, because they very strictly keep the MEID/ESN pools completely seperate, in order to avoid one 'company' financially destroying the other.
I spent many months trying to beg or trick Boost into letting my Sprint phones onto the Boost network, but I failed. I made contact with Sprint and Boost dealers, who have spent considerable time and money to do the same thing, and they failed as well. The ONLY way currently available to take a Sprint phone and put it on the Boost network is to illegally change the ESN/MEID # from an original Boost phone (and a Boost CDMA phone, specifically) and write over the Sprints phone's ESN/MEID with it, and basically destroy the old Boost phone that you got the ESN/MEID from. The Boost CDMA ESN/MEID# that you use to write over the Sprint phone should also be a BlackBerry Curve, otherwise you won't be able to put the phone on the Boost BlackBerry plan which is awesome and you really need. But like I said, it's illegal, so why take the risk?
In the long process of figuring out the above inescable fact, I started buying and selling Boost phones, and now I finally have a Boost BlackBerry Curve 8330, and let me tell you, it is SWEET! I like it so much better than the 8330 I have on Cricket, because its data network is at least 10 times faster than Cricket, and EVERY SINGLE APP WORKS! Also, there are 2 versions of BlackBerry Curves over at Boost, so please take notice: the new Boost BlackBerrys from Sprint, the ones with no sim card, are CDMA and the data speed is literally at least 20 times faster than the Boost iDen BlackBerry (the walkie talkie one with the sim card in it), so ALWAYS ask for the CDMA BlackBerry!

Re: how to flash sprint phones to boost unimited
It's nice to see at least ONE person, in this entire forum, actually knows some of what they are speaking (writing) about; there are so many mis-informed replies to simple questions, it's mind boggling!

So odd this cannot be done; my wife IS using her Sprint BlackBerry 8330 on Boost, I should tell her that it can't be done!

I have a Sprint Blackberry 8530 with a Spring calling plan.
If someone gets their Sprint phone successfully flashed over to Boost what happens to your Sprint plan ? Do you have to keep paying it ?

Re: how to flash sprint phones to boost unimited
you can yes you can put a sprint bb8330 on boost mobile cdma plan. Its fairly easy. The only thing that doesn't work is the internet and mms at first but then you have to download the service books for the phone and you have sprint phone basically and i only pay the 50 unlimited plan

Re: how to flash sprint phones to boost unimited
As an educated answer. Much better phones can be put to run on boost. Starting with Sprint Androids. They work awesome, 3G web, tethering, picture messaging. All for $50 a month. its not cheap to get it done. But it will pay for itself in less than 6 weeks vs Sprint's monthly bill. PLUS you can bring your number from whatever provider. Just gotta get ahold of the phone and Boost Flashing
