went into t-mobile to find out how much i would pay for the new s3 & it's $329 with a $50 mail in rebate, making it $279. WHAT>!>! every other company has it for $199. how can they justify making us pay $80 MORE?? i asked the guy to explain to me why i should stay with t-mobile then....his answer "well, that's cheaper than if you switch your minutes to a value plan" (that means that i would pay $329 + $20 a month for my 2yr contract). seriously?!?! this is WRONG!! t-mobile shouldn't be able to charge more than any other carrier....unless they are asking to loose customers...

Re: full price for the s3...?!?!
Every company has their own promotions based around new phones. The idea is to give you a discount on a phone so you renew your contract. Full price is actually over $600, on the Galaxy S III, depending where you look.
For example:
Amazon.com: Samsung Galaxy S III GT-i9300 16GB Unlocked Android Smartphone - International Version, No Warranty (Marble White): Cell Phones & Accessories
galaxy s III | eBay

Re: full price for the s3...?!?!
oh i know that. & if you have a value plan (329 +20 a mo for 24 mo = 809) you are paying full price (close enough) for the phone!! now i understand that their promotions are to get you to upgrade...but when t-mobile is charging more for the phone than any other carrier, why upgrade & stay w/ (or become a new client) them!!

Re: full price for the s3...?!?!
That's a good point! I guess T-Mobile wasn't willing to eat the cost as much as other carriers.
Through Amazon Wireless you can get the S III for $149 on Sprint: AmazonWireless: Samsung Galaxy S III 4G Android Phone, Blue 16GB (Sprint)
And for AT&T, $189: AmazonWireless: Samsung Galaxy S III 4G Android Phone, Blue 16GB (AT&T)

Re: full price for the s3...?!?!
The promotions vary, and I wouldn't be surprised if T-Mobile adjusts the pricing on the phone. There are always different promotions. I know they even had a promotion when all of their phones were free. If they run that promotion again, you can save hundreds.
