I received my final bill from T-Mobile for account number: 348XXX226 (telephone number 6XX-3XX-0378) for the amount of $186.29 which was paid in full via check number 5952 on 27-January-2014. When I called them to make sure it was paid, I was told by T-Mobile that I owed an additional $46.
When I questioned this, T-Mobile said it was for "collection fees" and that I will need to call Diversified Consultants INC (hereafter referred to as DCI). I was directly connected to DCI and was told I needed to discuss it with T-Mobile. When I called T-Mobile back, I was told it was:
    (1) For porting my phone number to another carrier on October 4th, 2013 in accordance with the terms of my contract (Which was long expired at the termination of my T-Mobile service on October 4th 2013.
    (2) Another T-Mobile person said it was a "recurring charge" on my account.
(3)And yet ANOTHER T-Mobile worker advised me it was an "Early Termination Fee". Hmm, funny!!
My account was closed, and there are no monthly charges or additional charges indicated. The bill remained at $186.29 for the 3 months while I disputed the amount. Fast forward to yesterday, 27-January, 2014 where I confirmed the final amount of $186.29 was paid to T-Mobile.
But I was then told by T-Mobile to "take it up with the DCI". DCI says to contact T-Mobile about the additional charge. Calling T-Mobile back, they said to contact DCI. I cannot get a straight answer from DCI or T-Mobile. DCI repeatedly "ROBOCALLS" me, will not leave a message, and is very deceptive in who they are whn calling me several times throughout the day. DCI and T-Mobile stand firm claiming I still owe $46.XX but I have never received a bill for the additional $46 (only told verbally that I owe that amount). I feel I am being extorted for an additional $46, and Do Not feel that the additional $46 "charge" is warranted due to the fact that I satisfactorily paid the final amount of $186.29 which was indicated on the final correspondence I received from T-Mobile.
I have since filed a complaint with my States Attorney General for this rip off!!!!

Have you gotten this taken care of yet?

You can try contacting the Better Business Bureau to see if they can help get it taken care of.
