Hi All,
My boyfriend has just bought a pay as you go Motorola Razr V3, but
currently cannot set the alarm.
I know this sounds really stupid as it is probably one of the easiest
things to do on any phone but when we try to set the alarm it just
won't work.
I have listed what we do below and what happens:
Office Tools - Alarm Clock - Select
We are shown the screen with the following on it [New Alarm], when we
click Select nothing happens
I click on Menu option and it goes to the Alarm Clock Menu, where we
are provided with the option of "New"
When we click on this, it takes us back to the [New Alarm] screen which
we can't do anything with.
We cannot even choose the Exit option as it doesnt work either. the
only way to get back to the main screen is to press the red hang up key
This is driving me mad and any advice would be gratefully received!!!
Thanks
Clare

Assuming you are pressing the correct buttons then the handset sounds
faulty as the proceadure you list should work.
I find the Razrs key presses slightly unintuitive so would suggest you try
again and make sure you are pressing the correct buttons; also you can use
the centre (big centre circle) button instead of the top buttons.
Failing that take it back to the shop for refund or replacement.

I'd personally take it back - it's a **** phone, with a **** interface.
Motorola are one of the only mobile phone manufacturers who *haven't* put
money into UI research that PHD students carry out a few times a year.
That's where T9 was nicked from :-)
