    Hi all,

Just had the letter from Virgin regarding the increase to the minimum
call charge to 15p, so I am looking at my options.

I do have access to an old unlocked 3g handset, so I've been looking
at 3 PAYG Flat 12 and I may even consider a 3 branded PAYG Nokia 6120
    for it's data capabilities.

This would be a backup for my main o2 contract, the most important
feature to me is free voicemail, followed by cheap data via handset
and connecting other devices via bluetooth and cable.

Do 3 have the option to change voicemail notification or do they still
    only send a text.

I've looked at their website and pricelist pdf and I cannot find the
minimum call charge, however I guess it is 12p. Also is it the
standard 180 days without using a chargeable service before
suspension/disconnection? I take it topups no longer expire either?

CS still just as bad I remember?

    TIA,

    Sam.

If your request is bog standard, then they are fine.

    Anything else...

Thanks, so if I tell them my PAC and that I want to move my number to
them are they more than likely to know what I am talking about or
should I be hoping that they now have the ability to port in online?

Also I take it the £10 topup credit for porting in is automatically
    applied?

    Sam.

PAC in and out is one thing they appear to be able to do - I've done
both this year without a problem.

I've no experience with PAYG, but the £30 credit for introducing
another pay monthly customer was applied without chasing, but it
took 2 or 3 months to appear.

Was absolutely no problem when I did it. CS assistant was in India but knew
    what they were doing.

Yes, I think. It'd be worth asking the CSA just to check, though.
