I have a Nokia 6300 and I have tried to set it to auto-answer when a
cable handsfree is fitted. Unfortunately, it goes on to answerphone
    before the auto-answer kicks in.

Is it possible to lengthen the ringing period before it goes to
    answerphone?

I'm sorry but I don't understand the table you so kindly sent me. All
I want is how to lengthen the ringing period before it goes to
    answerphone.

Maybe you need to talk to your network provider?
    Who is it?

You need to use the activate line in 'no answer'...

    NO ANSWER
    >To Activate:
    >* * 61 * NUMBER * * (Time 5 to 30 Seconds) # [SEND]
    >To Cancel:
    ># # 61 # [SEND]
    >To Check:
    >* # 61 # [SEND]

So, as if you were dialling a number:

    * * 61 * NUMBER * * (Time 5 to 30 Seconds) # [SEND]

where 'Number' is the answerphone divert number for your network

    regards, Ian

Just tried that with my Orange phone, but it said "requesting .............
request not allowed" (or summat similar)
Doesn't he have to ask O to disable his ansafone first?

    Try *004*07973100123*11*30#

You can replace the 30 (seconds of ringing before diverting) with any
    multiple of 5 between 05 and 30

    Hope that helps

    "Divert Activated" :-)

I actually used +447973etc before, dunno if that mattered?

Incidentally, is it possible to go higher than 30?
