in case anyone has this phone and they want to download ringers or wallpaper but are having trouble finding the data cable tp push the info through, you can go to your local verizon store and purchase the lg-vx6000 cable. audiovox commissioned LG to make this phone and therefore is uses the same data port!

Thats the way i do it... u get charge for a pix message like 15 cents

Once you did all that, rename the file's extension to .MIDI
Then you can send it to your phone via http://www.vzwpix.com

i got the trial for sound forge 7 but i cant save the files as midis
is there any way to do that?
if not what other types can i save it to so that it can be sent to my phone

the 8900 can play mp3 files that are less than 20 seconds with no greater than 90kbs bitrate and 22hz

There a tutorial on uploading MP3 ringtones to your 8900 here. As well as a direct link to Sound Forge or Goldwave for MPr editing.
