The end of the year draws near and we're already turning our attention towards year 2013 and what new gadgets we might witness hitting the market in the next 12 months. We have the Galaxy S4, the Note 3un nuevo HTC smartphone de 5 pulgadas que será el sucesor de la DROID DNA, the Sony Yuga/Odin and an LG 1080p device just to name a few. Evidently, nothing has been officially confirmed just yet but it's pretty much a no-brainer that most (if not all) of these devices are going to become a reality in the future.

As for Motorola, well the company in question might have something big in store for us next year. Word around the campfire is that the manufacturer is working on their next flagship device dubbed the "X Phone" for now. Probably a codename at this point, but it still sounds pretty good even for a retail name.

Nonetheless, it gets even better once you learn what the X Phone might have to offer from a technical standpoint, because according to the latest the X Phone will feature a bendable display encased in a ceramic unibody, and allegedly this device will change our views on what a smartphone should be like.

The reason for that is because the X Phone will supposedly run on stock Android but will have its own "modular" user interface, meaning that although this is not going to be a Nexus device and despite its different UI, software updates will arrive as soon as Google will give green light for new OS iterations. In other words, it's not going to be a Nexus gadget but it will receive updates as if it is one.

Other characteristics surrounding this alleged X Phone include a new set of gestures and voice commands, buttons on the back of the phone that will control the camera and the volume, and an "ultimate" camera app/software.

It all sounds very exciting and hopefully Motorola will be able to deliver. I'm getting a feeling that year 2013 will be a very interesting one for the mobile market.
