We currently have Verizon and I love the phone number I have, is there company like Verizon or partnered with them there in Belgium and do u think I will be able to keep my current number? I've had it for almost 10 yrs and everyone i know has it and i don't want to change it. HELP!

Re: Need help moving to Belgium
just movd here from the US myself (california, and had a verizon myself before i left.
as for keeping your same number, forget about it. unfortunately, there is no verizon wireless in belgium, and therefore your noninternational phone is caput. on the positive side, getting a new phone/number has two big advantages:
1. better service than POS verizon, and calls will be local and cheaper by far
2. belgium phones are moderately priced for as much technology as you get...
if you want an average priced phone... i reccomend the samsung u600 through mobistar. for about 100 EURO [150 USD] you get a fully equipped phone with USB, bluetooth, radio, mp3, 3.2 megapixel camera [very good], video, MMS, SMS, great color, sleek, etc. Hope that helps!
