(transferring things to/from pc)
i used to do that quite a lot but not anymore
everytime i take pictures with this telus phone i have to send each of'em via picture messaging, wasting my both time and money.
Anyways...too bad for me

Personally I'd go for Rogers. I just went with Fido because their deals are pretty sweet, but their reception can get quite crappy, as opposed to Rogers.... Since they merged, I think Roger clients get Fido antenna acess for free and Fido subscribers will have to pay 5$/mo for Rogers reception access (kinda dumb if you ask me :\)
But a big PLUS is the SE T610 that's only available to Fido... That phone kicks ass and it's really cheap with a plan (75$)

i'd go with fido because their plans are cheaper, and you can pick up rogers signal if your fido signal ever fails

I like Fido because of the cheap plans....... On Rogers can you just swap sim cards into their phones? Thats another reason I like Fido cuz i'm still on my og plan (same #) and been through 3 phones.

I'm a fido guy. Depends if you want to go on a monthly plan or prepaid. with prepaid, fido has better rates, and I love fido's unlimited incomming plan. But Roger has great corporate plans though, if you work for a company on their list.

It doesnt matter anymore. most of the time, you're on a rogers network, even though you're registered for fido. This is because rogers bought fido.

As for phone selection, it doesn't matter cause you can buy your own GSM phone, which is what I did because cell phones selection from Canadian cell phone companies is just awful. As mentioned the both Fido and Rogers have the same network so reception is pretty much the same. FIdo for me has the better plans, though if you can get a corporate plan through your work, Rogers is awesome.

i did kd and look what someone posted on the 'real info' site
Despite its ever increasing popularity, the adoption rate of wireless telecommunications in Canada lags behind that of the United States by nearly three years. In Canada, there were 47 subscribers for every 100 population at the end of March, a rate reached in the United States in mid-2002.
This is from STATSCAN, i think a pretty reputable organiztion.
So i think it is safe to infer that Canadian phone selection also is the suck.
You don't even need these stats to tell you this. All you do is check what phones are being offered in Canada, and then check what phones are offered in Asia, Europe, US and even 2nd world countries and you will see how our selection sucks
Also, i think that if you actually do research instead of complaining about people on this forum you will find that most of them have done their homework
