Unfortunately its part of you're commitment with Fido that we reserve the right to change anything about you're contract

It's actually Section 2, Point 17 of you're Terms and Conditions Agreement with Fido:
" 17. We reserve the right to restrict, change, suspend or terminate your Service by any means if your access, use or connection to the Services, Equipment or our facilities is impairing or adversely affecting our operation or the use of our Services or facilities by others. "
Sorry to say it but, Fido can modify/change aspects of your service.
Keep in mind we don't make changes to nickle and dime you, and make you mad. If we make changes we try to notify you ahead of time and offer alternatives to help satisfy you
