Hi all.
I purchased a Magenta (Hot Pink) Razr V3 from Ebay and in the
Description it said an unlocked phone for Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon,
etc. It works great with my Cingular sim card and the phone is
beautiful, except for one problem... I can't access the internet.
I have pay per use on web access and when I try to get online, it says
"Connection unsuccessful, try again later." And at the top it has
this... 'wap.o2.co.uk' (I'm in California). I called Cingular and was
told it's because it's not with a specific carrier and that's the
reason I can't access the internet.
On the menu, I can go into Web Access, and then Web Sessions (different
menu from a Razr purchased through Cingular) and in the list of
carriers, Cingular is not even listed. These are the carriers it
lists... BT Mobile, 02 (which is what it is now set at), Orange,
T-Mobile, Virgin, Vodafone, or o2MMS. It has an option to add a new
entry (carrier) in this section and in the details to be inputted, this
is what it shows... Name:______, a Homepage:______, Service Type:
WAP, Gateway IP: 000.000.000..., Port: 9201, Domain: ______, DNS
Numbers, CSD Numbers, User Name, Password, Speed (Bps), Line Type:
Modem and GPRS APN. This is all Greek to me.
Can anyone help me on what I need to obtain (numbers, url, or whatever)
to input into my phone to make it Cingular ready so I can download
music from Cingular's website? Otherwise, the phone works fine with my
Cingular sim card.
Thanks, Me
