I recently bought a USB data cable to transfer my contacts and SMS
messages from my mobile Nokia 1110 to my computer. The cable fits but
the software on the CD is only the trial version and with the trial
version you can't actually synch. The only piece of software that
seems to support the Nokia 1110 is Logomanager Classic but to buy the
full version costs $24.95. This is more than the cable. The other
problem, but I am not sure of this, is that Logomanager seems to be for
a serial connection not a USB. When I go into connection option it
seems to be for a serial connection and my cable is a USB cable.

When I tried Mobtime software (also on the CD) the first phone it
seemed to support was the Nokia 3100 I also went to the Nokia website
but again the software they have for supporting transfer of information
from a mobile seems to start at Nokia 3100

So I have bought this USB cable and trial software for $20 postage and
packaging. I assumed the software would work. I am going to contact the
seller, but even if he takes it back it is time and the expense of
postage. In fact, I would like to get this working if at all possible
but without paying for the software. I read the manual for the Nokia
1110 and it says nothing about transferring information using a data
    cable.

I suppose the first question is it actually possible to transfer
information from this phone to a computer using a USB cable?

If so what is the software that does this?

Incidentally, I don't know the name of the cable, the name on the box
is USB Data Cable N6030 Series so I think it is really for this model.

I was trying to download it from Limewire but all the programs seemed
to be corrupted or when I unzipped them I wasn't authorised to access
    them.

Last week I got the phone unlocked. My local unlocker found it
difficult. He said that he had to buy a cable and to update his
software. But does this mean that it is possible to transfer
information from one to the other with the right software?

I'd greatly appreciate any help here as this has taken up quite a lot
of time, downloading corrupted software and trying to find an answer to
    this myself.

I just had a look on Nokia's Australian web site. They list your phone, but
no mention of compatibility with PCSuite. Same on their US site.
You could probably try downloading a version of PCSuite from Nokia and
trying that - it's compatible with IR, Bluetooth and USB, however whether it
recognises your phone would be a case of suck-it-and-see I think.
