Enable Battery Saving Mode (Low Power Mode):

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Go to “Battery”
  3. Tap the switch next to “Low Power Mode” to enable the feature
  4. To change how Low Power Mode works, you can enable or disable the available options, such as “Mail fetch”, “Background app refresh” etc.

Lower the Screen Brightness:

  1. While on the home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen
  2. From the Control Center, drag the brightness slider towards the left to adjust (lower) screen luminosity

Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by disabling the phone’s connectivity features whenever they are not in use. This includes Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth.

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap the switches associated with “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth”, “Privacy” (GPS), and “Personal Hotspot” (Wi-Fi hotspot)

Change App Sync Settings:

NOTE: By syncing less data / less often you can improve your phone’s battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap “Mail, “Contacts, & Calendars”
  3. Tap “Fetch New Data”
  4. Tap an account
  5. Set to “Manual”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “General”
  3. Tap “Background App Refresh”
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • To enable / disable background data for all applications, tap the “Background App Refresh” toggle
    • To enable / disable background data for a specific app, tap the toggle next to the desired application

Switch from LTE to 2G:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Cellular”
  3. Tap the “Enable LTE” slider to disable it and use 2G instead

Keep Your Phone Updated:

NOTE: Certain software updates can include improvements to battery life, so you should keep your phone up to date at all times. To check for new updates:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap “General”
  3. Tap “Software update”
  4. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it
