HTC evo design 4g and the "Square"

Hello,

I am having some issues trying to use the square on this cellphone (main reason for getting it) The phone app for the square does work, and it does pick up that the square is plugged in however, when I try to slide a card through the sqaure it doesn't pick up the slide "Slide faster" Or nothing during the example test.

I am wondering if any other evo design users have gotten square to work and if so what steps did you use to get it to work.

Have you tried an alternative such as PayPal or Intuit to see if it works?
