OK,
I just reformatted my emachines PC. I installed all the updates, wmp11, nero7, KL codecs, etc.
I can convert a downloaded DVD with Tmpgenc plus, Author and burn it with Tmpgenc DVD Author.
The DVD will play in my DVD recorder, and my laptop, but will not play in my other DVD player and not my PC. I've reloaded the codecs, no help. The burner is a pioneer DVDR-106, I updated the firmware. What am I missing on the PC???

Right I may think that you will have Nero Vision Express.
Decrypt the DVD to your Hard disk and then in vision express click

I know, me too...I bought a new burner and seems fine.

how about get me a working getdataback software...ugh..one of my partition screwed up....how the hell does such thing happen? if that was to happen (screw up, bad sectores or whatever) shouldnt the whole hd be in that condition? :T

A hard drive is a delicate and very crucial part of a computer's hardware, in fact, the smallest dust particle, or the slightest opposite magnetic charge could cause sever data loss and corruption. The entire HDD is not like this because only a portion of it has encountered the error. It is possible to get data back, but it can be very costly at that.

Sorry i havent been on for a long time.
The reason it might not play it because the Drive is bad or the CD quailty is rubbish.
Try another brand or get a new burner.

My system is creating some problems from long time. Audio speakers are making some disturbance noise first, And then system is restarting in 2 minutes. What is the problem. Can you tell any solution. Plz Help me.

I need more information to find out what's wrong. What OS are you running? What are the specs of your computer? What software are you running? And so on.

On an off-topic note, wow, I feel stupid reading this now.

After formatting my laptop i cannot find graphics drivers. Can you please help out in this case as well?
