Re: Mac or PC
Was very tempted to get a mac.
But a PC does what I need with no problems.
It's a shame the whole world runs on windows tbh.

Re: Mac or PC
All we have in the house is PCs.. probably 20+ all networked up, desktops and PCs.. I personally do not like using a MAC.. but I know my parents are now leaning towards them since my sister in NFLD bought one.. but for now, we're strictly PC.

Re: Mac or PC
Of course PC. Maybe Mac looks good and have a few good aps but you will have a big problems with all goodies from PC. A lot of programms don;t have conversions on MAC.

Re: Mac or PC
I would prefer a MAC over PC. But the factors which makes my way only towards PC are:
Games, and the availability of pirated software.

Re: Mac or PC
This question has probably been asked before but I'm curious to know what would happen if you were to buy a PC (for the price) and install a Mac operating system. Would you then be unable to get PC viruses, or can't you fool the little buggers?

Re: Mac or PC
I think it depends what you do with your computer. If you do graphics or sound work I think a mac is the right choice!
I had the chance to work with a mac fpr a couple of years and have to say that ( after the week of angering about the one button mouse ) I really liked it. The System runed smooth and robust.
Bye

Re: Mac or PC
I prefer PCs over Macs but they both have their own pros and cons. I like that PCs are more cost efficient and if there's any problem with it, I can always check online to see if I can fix it. My sister has a Mac and I'm not too fond of it. I'm not used ot the software at all.

Re: Mac or PC
My Point of view has changed vigorously
So I used to be a Vista fanboy.. but now.. Vista can go die.....XP can go along with the ride.
I use...Windows 7 Ultimate. It is so sexy xD
I am more productive using Windows 7 than any other operating system. i dont get it but i am xD. I would like a mac if i had the money..but i dont. I also want a BOSE soundsystem but that wont happen either lol..
Linux is cool..but it just dooesnt fit my needs. lol last time i used Linux i tried installing my sound card drivers and failed lol. lol then i could figure out how to install programs haha
I am a PC. I have 5 PC
- Dell XPS M1530
- Dell Dimension E310
- HP Pavilion Dv9500t CTO
- eMachine 446is
- Sony Vaio PCV-J200
lol and i use My XPS and the Macs at my school...
So yeah i experienced all 3 platforms :\
I love Windows 7

Re: Mac or PC
I definitely choose Mac.
it doesn't get pop ups, or viruses.
and the best part is that you can customize your mac to fit your needs. so you can add as much memory as you like.

PC, if you don't mind the high price of the MAC, you may choose.
